The iconic Ibiza restaurant Bambuddha opens this week on Saturday 18 March for the summer season. The opening has its own special tasting menu with a selection of its supreme “Mediterrasian” dishes.
The regular menu features the vast array of this venue's perfectly designed and executed plates. It includes two sharing menus introduced for the first time last year, designed as a convivial and communal way of experiencing Bambuddha's innovative food. The award-winning restaurant located near to Santa Gertrudis and now in its 17th season continues to surprise and innovate, with head chef Alejandro Arquero Martinez continuing to lead the way.
The special Saturday night menu is priced at €60 per person and together with free champagne on arrival will include eight savoury plates and a delicious dessert. Expect things like soft shell crab with Indian spices; sea bass ceviche with sweet potato and coriander; Nam Prik gyozas with beef and chilli; and, a twist on a classic with crispy duck and mandarin pancakes. Reservations are being taken now, so book ahead if you haven't already.
Bambuddha has grown steadily and built a reputation with food lovers and the more glamorous set. Its breath-taking interior is worth a visit in itself as is a visit to the Tantra Sex Shop boutique for the height of naughtiness whilst dining. The restaurant is built within a pagoda imported piece by piece from Bali in Indonesia and is is now one of the top go-to dining destinations on the island.
The Mediterrasian fusion recipes are inspired by the ancient spice route from Cadiz in Spain and Osaka in Japan providing diners with an exotic array of spices, aromas and flavours. The restaurant's cocktails are legendary with a sensual and sexual spirit to see you through the evening.
The time has come to welcome the 2016 season with open arms, and what better way to do it than at Bambuddha.
