Exposed to the Mediterranean sun beating down and heat haze rising from the ground, your mind can be excused for playing games. Brand new for 2019 and appearing like a tropical oasis in the wilderness of Benimussa Park, Mirage takes on selected Fridays at the venue.
Yet what you see is no optical illusion or trick of the mind, but something very real. Much curiosity has surrounded the newest edition to Benimussa's program. Now that the opening line-up has revealed itself, the party's vision comes into sharper focus.
The remaining half of Art Department AKA Jonny White is the first headliner to materialise. The Canadian is no stranger to Ibiza, owing to many appearances at DC10 in both current and former incarnations. Though, we're looking forward to seeing him play in new surroundings.
Another man who needs no introduction is Dennis Ferrer. The Objektivity label head has been active since the mid-1990s. A hit at parties such Defected and his own Blue Marlin residency last year, the veteran New Yorker commands a big pull this side of the Atlantic.
One-third of Better Lost Than Stupid, Martin Buttrich, is the next underground star proving that Mirage means business. Three more recognised DJs in Adana Twins, Audiofly and Dosem point to Mirage showcasing some dreamy and evocative deep house in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Other artists confirmed for the opening party on Friday 17 May include Game Over's Jeremy Weeks, alongside Lana Scolaro, Rosario Internullo, Sirius B and Hinnise. Nick Stim, Nina Ly and Zuer round things off.
Such a long list of artists means that the Ses Païsses venue will be fully operational. Promising to return things to the real Ibiza, three stages will be open with the action moving indoors at 23:00.
Mirage is waiting for you - as are tickets, which you'll find below along with further information.
