What's that? You thought you'd seen the last of Coxy through watery eyes at the Space closing in 2016? Think again, amigos! Turns out one of electronic music's most loved characters couldn't tear himself away from the White Isle, so in 2017 he was back with some very special events at none other than the mighty Privilege.
Pure Carl Cox brought the spirit of old-school raving back to the dancefloor. The two dates were surely among THE most anticipated of the season. The action kicked off on Tuesday 11 July when techno king Carl Cox was joined by Joseph Capriati, Jon Rundell, Eric Powell, tINI, Archie Hamilton, Eats Everything, Darren Emerson and emergent Hybrasil.
On Tuesday 18 July, the techno madness continued with The Martinez Brothers, Nicole Moudaber, Cassy, DAX J, Kerri Chandler and Nastia, as well as Eric Powell one more time around.
There were bucketloads of energy, copious amounts of clubbing anarchy and more Coxy than you could have possibly grab hold of. Oh yes oh yes!
Securing the services of Carl Cox was a huge coup for Privilege, which made 2017 one of its biggest summers in years. The club underwent a thorough refit that included a Funktion One sound system update - ideal for belting out those big Coxy beats.
Ibiza's biggest club pairing up with Ibiza's favourite DJ was a match made in heaven to us.
