After a successful season at Privilege in 2016, last summer Solid Grooves took it outside to the magical grounds of Benimussa Park.
This no-nonsense house and tech party brought in some solid talent. Residents Dennis Cruz, PAWSA, Michael Bibi and Reelow made up the core of the events, while Huxley, Hector Couto, Pirupa, Josh Wink, Martin Buttrich, Route 94 and many others came in on one or the other of the three very special dates.
The opening party was held on Thursday 5 July with Aus Music's hit machine Huxley and Moon Harbour duo Anek.
If you missed that date, you had to wait until 31 August for the next one. This time around Snatch! boss and curveball producer Riva Starr topped the bill with infectious Italian star Pirupa. A huge secret guest was also scheduled to play.
The final party of the season on 14 September found legendary Ovum boss and acid innovator Josh Wink play with Desolat's main man Martin Buttrich. Both played with chart-topperer Route 94, joined, of course, by the Solid Grooves residents.
Parties at Benimussa Park are among the most original and special on the island. The reimagined zoo teems with palm trees, a pool and outdoor creative dancefloors. A must-see for anyone on Ibiza.
