One More Tune | Lange

Ending on a high and sending the crowd home happy on Thursdays at Eden with One More Time Ibiza.

Tapping into the energy force commonly referred to as "nostalgia", One More Time Ibiza gets eight dates at Eden this summer.

Picture the scene if you will: you've just spent the last few hours smashing out classic tracks from the past 25 years. As the night draws to a close, only the diehards remain in the crowd - and they're like putty in your hands. The sound engineer gives you the signal indicating the end is nigh, so you slowly fade out of your current selection as the house lights come up.

The crowd are united and vocal in their demands: "one more tune", "one more tune", "one more tune". It's your obligation to send them home happy.

You're going to do it, of course, but not before playing with them a little. Hovering your finger over the deck, you pause for dramatic effect and add a split-second of doubt. Then you slam your finger down and the dancefloor goes nuts below you.

That's the premise here. We ask the headliners one simple but important question: what track are you choosing to close the night? Next up is Lange, the headliner of the fourth party on Thursday 25 May.

One more tune | 004 | Lange

Track choice: Lange feat The Morrighan | Follow Me | Positiva | 2000

"I feel a bit lame picking one of my own (!), but for Ibiza, it has to be Follow Me featuring The Morrighan.

I have memories of this one spanning over two decades now. I was lucky enough to be asked to provide music for the Kevin & Perry Go Large film back in 2000, and Follow Me was my contribution. It was amazing to be part of what's become an iconic film and soundtrack, capturing the magic of Ibiza during the golden era of Trance.

What's even more incredible is last year, some 22 years later ,we came together again in Amnesia and partied like it's 1999! The reaction to Follow Me was amazing with the entire floor singing it, definitely a highlight of the night for me and Jon from The Morrighan who was with me in the booth.

It reminds so many people of the late '90s Trance and their own trips to the Island. The bottom line is Follow Me has an innocence about it. It's a happy uplifting track. Cheesy, almost certainly, but who cares? The almost cult status of the Kevin & Perry film has obviously helped.

I never used to play it very often, but in recent years there's been quite a revival in parties capturing that '90s feel - it's getting more plays now than ever before."

Thanks Lange for his selection and words. A certified classic without doubt.
