Tunes of the month | March

Our favourite tracks from February.

Technically, we're not quite there yet, but we'd be forgiven for feeling that spring has sprung.

In the last month, but in particular last week, we dumped a tonne of Ibiza 2022 news. Catch up here if you're behind on any announcements.

At the same time, events in eastern Europe cast a shadow over everything, from both a political and humanitarian viewpoint. We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people at this troubling time and hope for a speedy resolution.

Yet again, music provides some much-needed escapism from reality.

We're back with another ten tracks to distract you. This month we feature new music from Sven Väth, Jess Bays, Meg Ward and more.

Meg Ward | Last All Night | Needwant | 18 February

Who's got the stamina to Last All Night? Tyneside-based rising star Meg Ward kicks us off this week. Her track combines a driving beat, wailing synths and a catchy vocal hook, guaranteed to fill your tank from empty to full. That should get you out of bed in the morning. BUY HERE

Drega feat Maline Aura | Vela | Sondela Recordings | 18 February

We've been looking for an excuse to feature Sondela for a while now and finally an opportunity presented itself. Positioning itself as "where Afro meet Tech", the burgeoning label and party series is spearheaded by Sef Kombo, Kitty Amor and Simon Dunmore's son, Louie.

The latest offering comes courtesy of South African producer Drega and vocalist Maline Aura. BUY HERE

Mason Maynard feat Hadiya George | Ring Of Fire | Hot Creations | 11 February

Demuir | Rizin' | Snatch! Records | 10 February

RIVA STARR signed Rizin' to Snatch! Records because it reminded him of early Jesse Rose, Claude von Stroke and his own forays into the world of Jackin' House. Demuir strikes the right chord on a track that feels totally built for summer. BUY HERE

Sven Väth | Mystic Voices | Cocoon Recordings | 4 February

Just before he dropped his album, Sven Väth teased fans with a pair of tracks taken from the LP. Mystic Voices is a proper Cocoon peak-time weapon that has been enjoying lots of love during Sven's recent sets. BUY HERE

Jess Bays feat Poppy Baskcomb | Temptation | Good Company | 25 February

February has been quite the month for Jess Bays. Capital Dance's Sunday afternoon hostess was first unveiled as Cuckoo Land's new 2022 resident. If that wasn't enough, she ended the month dropping her new track with Poppy Baskcomb. Can you hear her influences?
