Pete Tong (MBE) has been announced as a new member of Pacha's board.
Company CEO Nick McGabe welcomed Pete, citing his "knowledge and guidance" as being key to spreading Pacha's philosophy around the world.
The legendary broadcaster and veteran DJ has a long standing association with the club brand. He was previously resident at Pure Pacha on Ibiza in two stints, 2005-2007 and 2011-12.
More recently, he has worked in a consultancy role. He will now help oversee Pacha Group's expansion in 2021. This includes the holistic Casa Pacha Formentera retreat, coming soon.
The esteemed tastemaker said of his appointment: “When Pacha approached me with this opportunity I couldn't say no. Pacha has been a glamourous and hedonistic meeting place for generations of jet setters and music lovers. I want to be part of exporting its true spirit, as the brand evolves into a global hospitality company.”
Pete rejoins the business in this senior role as exciting news about Pacha Ibiza's comes into the public domain.
Following smaller refurbs in the winter of 2017 and 2018, a third and final stage of remodelling commenced after summer 2019. The forced closure of clubs this summer meant works have continued throughout this period.
Upgrades include a new DJ booth, higher audio and visual specification and, perhaps most importantly, a vastly enlarged dance floor - all designed in Pacha's bohemian style.
You'll have to take our word for for the time being, but we can expect a formal unveiling by Tongy himself closer towards the summer.
These pieces of exciting news combined point to a hectic summer ahead for Pacha and the island. Lord knows we need it! Stayed tuned for more Ibiza 2021 news coming soon.
