A day in paradise with Lost in Ibiza

Wednesday’s tech-house boat party.

An underground boat party is not all that common; however, on Ibiza one need look no further than Lost In Ibiza. With huge underground names on the season's line up, Lost In Ibiza is a must for tech-house lovers. So, the opening party was something that we had to get on board with.

This boat party is recognised by islanders as one of the top ones in the game. Having set sail with some of the biggest names in the industry, we couldn't have been more excited.

Richy Ahmed, wAFF, Detlef and Alan Fitzpatrick are but a few of the party's previous music mainstays. This season's opening party lived up to its name. Here's how.

After a pre-party at RIO,we cast away at 15:00. Alongside a cruise full of party-goers, I began my tech-house voyage into the waters surrounding Ibiza.

The first DJ was the Do Not Sleep don and Ibiza veteran Dan Black. Though new to the game, he impressed me deeply with some tech house thumpers.

Whilst the tides were rocky, the tunes played smoothly and it wasn't long before everyone was up on their feet.

KLong (Max Chapman & Apollo 84 Remix) by Paul C & Paolo Martini sat well with the cruisers. Ahoy!

Also on the decks was Secret Sessions and O beach regular Harrie Summers. Known on the island for his groovy taste in music, Summers effortlessly delivered and brought rhythm to the marine. Check out Be Randy by Dom Dolla & Torren Foot to get a taste of his set.

As the boat came to a halt, the fun certainly didn't. Surrounded by the famous Ibizan landscape, we danced our way to the evening, when One Over took to the decks for an offshore spiel.

Move (Time To Get Loose) by Young Romantic was the perfect track to wind up the day. Take a listen.

On our way back to San Antonio the crowd stayed upbeat - most likely because the party was to continue with the opening of Paradise at DC10 included with the boat party's Lost in Paradise combo ticket. Yes, please!

Departing the boat was bittersweet. I could have easily continued offshore into the night. However, how could I when Paradise was waiting?

After a quick break and shower, like troopers, we were ready again to surrender ourselves to some world-class music.

In Paradise the summer vibes continued, Richy Ahmed and Jamie Jones dominated the Garden before things got serious in the clubs Main room and Terrace. It felt too good to be back.

A tune by Jade Cox & Kormak called Want You All/ Love On The Line slotted nicely into Jamie Jones's mammoth set.

As the sun set over the famous DC10 garden, I gained a feel for the true Ibiza. Surrounded by like-minded people, day-to-night is my idea of a good time and with the Lost In Ibiza boat party guaranteeing this, then why the hell not?

Cladded in new theme “Colour Odyssey'” bits and bobs, the club was a colourful dance haven. Iconic Paradise dancers were dotted here and there in a no-fuss fashion for DC10 stayed true to it's about-the-music attitude.

The likes of Ilario Alicante, Detlef b2b Latmun, The Martinez Brothers and Adam Beyer saw me through to the end with some serious 2019 bangers.

Some of my favourites were Maceo Plex's When the Lights Go Out played by Ilario Alicante and Break It Down by Trevor Rockcliff from Jamie Jones' and The Martinez Brothers' set.
