Don't make plans for Wednesday 1 May 2019. The timeless Woodstock Festival - the first macro festival and ultimate symbol of counterculture - turns 50 years old this summer. The occasion, of course, calls for mega-celebration, and Las Dalias steps up to the plate to throw it a massive anniversary bash. Oh yes!
On two separate stages, 17 local musicians will be paying homage to the great bands that took part in the summer of 1969. The brilliant music of Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, amongst others, will come alive for the event.
Jurgen Graff, Ran, Dirk, Ian Macdonald, Jon Michell, Dominique Lared, Alex Obrian, Klaus Fosterling, Beto, Michael Alcaras, Adam Lenox, Gio Petillo, Victor Greasily, Ivan Frydlewsky, Spanny Fox, Marianna Nasa and Paul Powell, as well as various DJs, will be bringing us back to those times with all the greatest tunes.
The festivities kick off at 12:00 noon at the multicultural venue with a wide variety of activities, exhibitions, musical tributes and interactive experiences.
One of the exhibitions will feature the original photographs by Baron Wolman, the official photographer of the time, now over 80 years old. Capturing the tangible memories of those three days of peace, love and rock 'n' roll, this exhibition will be followed by the projection by audiovisual material from the time.
Recreational areas including a Kid Area, hippy market and the famous Street Food Festival complete the picture to ensure the day goes down in Ibiza history, as Las Dalias itself also reaches a massive milestone this year, turning 65 years old.
The Woodstock Festival anniversary kicks off this joint celebration, seeking to recover the spirit of Woodstock with its ideals of peace, love, environmentalism, music and art appreciation.

For those too young to remember, the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock commemorates the famous 72-hour event taking place in Bethel, New York from 15 to 18 August 1969 that went down in history. Janis Joplin, Carlos Santana, Joe Cocker, the great Jimi Hendrix and other influential artists of the time gifted the world with three days that became the defining moment of the decade and for future generations.
