Pyramid's takeover of Printworks London in 10 images

With under ten weeks to go until its opening party, we reflect on Pyramid's recent forage on UK soil.

Following last summer's explosive debut on Monday nights, Pyramid is leading the charge to the Ibiza 2019 season. Amnesia's in-house house and techno party made such an impression in year one, it's no surprise the venue has successful exported the concept overseas.

After already rocking Studio 338's terrace back in November, Pyramid once again made the trip to London. On Saturday 23 March, the industrial warehouse setting of Printworks played host.

A million miles away from the sun-drenched terraces of Ibiza, it might have been. Yet Pyramid set our pulses races for the forthcoming summer - as well as dropping a few hints at who and what might be involved in 2019.

Unsurprising, we were treated to some incredible music on the day. New tracks from Saved Records, IPSO, Kompakt and Toolroom, plus a handful of classics soundtracked our afternoon.

Two of Amnesia's own. Home-grown residents Mar-T and Luca Donzelli added some Balearic flair.

Bathed in blue light. Kölsch's long-awaited debut at the venue drew the masses. An exquisitely executed set from the Dane.

Pyramid's hanging triangle mobiles have rapidly become a calling-card for discerning underground dance music.

Another duo hailing from the San Rafael super-club - Hector Couto and Mathias Kaden proved that two heads are better than one with a tip-top b2b performance.

Amnesia even flew out a bevy of its glamorous podium dancers along for the show. You know, for added authenticity!

The scale of production was on par with Amnesia's own high-tech lighting and visual effects. Dazzling.

One man band Matador wowed the crowd playing exclusively his own music. His recent Beatport number one Apollo 11 was a particular highlight.

Catch him at Amnesia's Opening Party on 11 May.

Printwork's overhead moving rigs were reminiscent of Pyramid's own boundary-pushing, interactive ceiling installations.

Closing duties once again fell to expert headliner Ilario Alicante. The Italian sent the crowds home happy, Cristoph's unreleased edit of Sweet Deposition being a memorable dance floor peak.

Pyramid returns to Mondays at Amnesia, bi-weekly from 3 June to 23 September.

Already confirmed for the giant opening, is maverick Terrace legend Ricardo Villalobos and the latest addition, everybody's favourite gang member, tINI.

Next door in the club room, things set to get heavier and faster with two more leading ladies. Nina Kraviz and Helena Hauff will ensure the bass and beats remain brazen throughout.

Artists for the rest of the campaign may still be underwraps, but the above is an indication of what's to come. Pick up those Earlybird ticket options now and grab yourself a bargain.
