Although Heart Factory had its official closing at the beginning of the month, it makes a fleeting return this Saturday 20 October for a special one-off. Get ready for this.
Be Svendsen is on record saying that music should “connect you to a bigger picture. The goal is to express and convey a feeling, and to behold the moment.”
The Danish star has already made his mark felt at HEART this summer, with a handful of DJ appearances for Behrouz's Do Not Sit. Most recently he was called upon to help close out the Thursday night residency. However, Saturday's headline set will differ in being a live set.
Svendsen releases his highly-anticipated debut LP, titled Between A Smile & A Tear on Friday 19 October, the day before this special event. This special performance at Heart Factory forms part of the album tour that started at the beginning of the month.
At a time when Ibiza has really adopted the nomadic, desert Burning Man sound, it is timely that Be Svendsen embarks on this new chapter. The Dane is well-known for producing emotive, organic tones capable of moving dance floors on a much higher plane.
HEART certainly has the reputation for being the perfect backdrop to voyaging live sets. Already this summer we have been treated to cinematic masterclasses from the likes of Satori and Rodriquez Jr. With its stage, LED wall and taste for the theatrical, it is the ideal venue for such escapades.
With the album promising to contain field-recordings, nostalgic samples and incorporating elements of vocals alongside live instruments, we can't wait to experience this performance in the flesh.
Island-based Spanish duo Los Suruba and Acid Sunday's regular Aracil add genuine heavyweight support. Saturday's special edition of Heart Factory is shaping up to a titillating curtain call at the glitzy Marina Botafoch nightspot.
