This week has us back at that techno tree and we're like a herd of goats waiting to scramble ourselves to the top, but with far greater purpose. What an image that is, eh? Would techno be better enjoyed in a tree? Probably. In fact, definitely. But the big clubs need us, because this week's thunder is coming from dexterous artists of the highest pedigree.
Prepare for an absolute pelting from a throng of techno's most ferocious players. Some are rarely on this little music-heavy island and won't be back, so have a little think about that. If our words can't convince you, fire on the below sets and let the music do its work.

Tuesday 29 August / Luigi Madonna B2B Markantonio / RESISTANCE at Privilege
Italians are fierce about their adoration for techno. DJ Sounds' recently released video of Kappa FuturFestival in Turin will tell you just how much. And as the techno nuts among us know, Italians are also damn excellent at crafting the filthy techno beat.
This week gives us double the Italian dosage with Luigi Madonna and Markantonio going in back-to-back. Both hailing from Napoli, these guys got stuck into the electronic dance music early and they've been pulling their experience and knowledge together with a scattering of B2B sessions since March this year.
Fierce mixers in their own right, but together, they're a formidable duo.

Tuesday 29 August / Alan Fitzpatrick / Do Not Sleep at Sankeys
Last weekend Fitzpatrick gave UK dance festival Creamfields a good seeing to and according to Fitzpatrick, “it was all kinds of heavy.” Wedged in between an outrageous set was his upcoming remix release of Darius Syrossian's ‘Made For Manchester' which will land on Fitzpatrick's label We Are The Brave.
This week we might just get a slathering of the above track and plenty more, as the British techno titan lands for his fifth Do Not Sleep date of the season. You'll find him in Sankeys infamous Basement, and if you've had a Fitzpatrick hammering in this heated area of the Playa d'en Bossa club before, you'll have a good idea of what's looming.

Tuesday 29 August / Dino Lenny / Mosaic by Maceo Plex at Pacha (Prism)
The Italian producer, DJ and label owner is an artist you might have already found under the Mosaic banner. Last year, he was behind Maceo Plex's event series with a handful of bookings placing him on the bill alongside John Talabot, Pantha Du Prince, Michael Mayer, DJ Tennis and the Pachanga Boys.
Dino Lenny and Maceo Plex quite clearly dig each other's music beef, as not only has Lenny been enlisted to support Mosaic, but he's also been on regular rotation with the Ellum label events, including takeovers at Fabric, Café d'Anvers, Totem and Robert Johnson.
Plex has been heard touting Lenny's upcoming record ‘I Can Have You', and this week we might get a whiff of it from the main man himself. Locked into the upstairs Prism room alongside Raxon and Fiberroot, you'll find an intimate space away from the bustle of the Main Room below. Sound good? If you're into those smaller dance floors with minimal pushing, it should do, and this is your only to catch Lenny going in for the deep techno stuff.
Meanwhile in the Main Room you have trailblazing techno cruisers Henrik Schwarz and Roman Flügel alongside Maceo Plex. Win, win.

Wednesday 30 August / Tiga / HYTE at Amnesia
Tiga was there for HYTE's pre-opening bash, and he's torn through crowds at Circoloco at DC10 and BBC Radio 1 Ibiza at Hï Ibiza. This week we've got him one final time with the HYTE mob and we're pretty damn excited.
When asked about the secret to his career longevity, the Turbo Recordings founder offered confidence as being key to his enduring success. The self-assured producer slammed into 2017 with bass pounder ‘Eye Luv U', which was the first original release from the Montreal native since his 2016 album No Fantasy Required.
Considering himself a romantic at heart, he believes that all DJs who deeply love what they play are doing it the right way. He's definitely doing it how a true DJ should, and for that reason, we should appreciate him as true music fans by being out on that Terrace going absolutely mental.
With Tiga's sound spans techno, tech house, electro and nu disco, it's likely you're in for a melting pot of sonic soup. If you're after heavier, industrial techno, HYTE resident Chris Liebing is through in the Main Room to hook you up.

Wednesday 30 August / Carl Craig / Paradise at DC10
Black Coffee, Sven Väth, Hot Since 82 and Maceo Plex have all clamoured to book creative visionary Carl Craig. His last set at Circoloco had him weighing in with a catalogue of monsters, including Matrixxman's ‘Arrival', and while plenty of DJs amass a crew behind the booth, he opted to stand in there alone.
Earlier this month Craig contributed to XLR8R's Ask The Experts series, and he gave a nod to James Brown as being an inspiration, in that when it comes to music, “It's got to be funky.” The Detroit veteran also recently joined Red Bull Music Academy in Glasgow to round off its Session tour of the UK, and post Q & A time, he gave the city's iconic Sub Club a battering.
He knows how to utilise his venom for DC10's club rooms, so this date should be chucked in with your must-see hitlist. You can also catch him on Saturday 16 September as he returns to Hï Ibiza with Black Coffee.

Thursday 31 August / Keith Carnal / Afterlife at Privilege
Considered a household name in the Amsterdam techno scene, Carnal digs in to inspire clubbers with melodies, pumping kicks and loud percussion. Exploding onto the scene in 2008, he's stirred the pot with releases on Hotfingers, Suara, Starlight Music, Affin Recordings and most recently Skryptom and Mary Go Wild Black.
In the Dutchman's own words: “Techno is something you only understand if you have experienced the real deal. It's about losing yourself, coming together and letting go, all in one night. For me techno can encompass all emotions, whether it's happiness, sadness or even anger. Techno is more for me than just playing and making tracks, it's a language that overcomes words, differences and race – an unspoken language of unity.“
On Thursday you'll find him getting you lot to lose yourselves in the intimate Chamber room, a sweaty spot which has become a go-to for the techno fiends who like it that little bit harder. This is his only appearance this summer. Take note.
