Our quest for fresh new music lands us with an exclusive from Sankeys magnets, Denney and Detlef.
With Denney and Mekon's version of 'What's Going On?' being a breakout tune of the summer, Paradise and Do Not Sleep resident Detlef has jumped in for a taste of the action. Their reworking of the summer smash is loaded with thumping basslines and blistering 909s, while preserving the retro touch of Mekon's original. The result? Clubbers are faced with a bruising, high-octane whopper of a record that'll have them sweating to the beat and that's the kind of satisfaction we're chasing every single weekend.
While the original is already up there as a huge slammer among a throng of BBC Radio 1 influencers, including Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Annie Mac, this re-edit will undoubtedly inflict even more damage on the dance floors inhabited by serious tech house heads.
Check it out below and you can catch the last of Denney's ABODE dates at Sankeys on Sunday 10 September, with Detlef set to make reappearances with the Do Not Sleep crew at Sankeys, Ibiza Rocks and the Paradise mob at DC10.
