Venues and parties go hand-in-hand, so the move of Acid Sundays to Las Dalias makes perfect sense. We went out there for the opening last Sunday. Check out their new look.
A place that radiates positive energy and offers a hedonistic experience to each of their guests, Las Dalias is situated in the midst of the countryside. With forests and wondrous hills blanketing the entire venue, tranquility and exposure to internal hedonism come naturally here.
With its psychedelic decor and infused atmosphere, the haven is a true representation of what lies at the heart of Ibiza. Authentic hippy market stalls are scattered along the cobbled stones, all selling a range of handmade jewellery and clothing.
The crowd warmed the entire venue, embracing one another and showing inquisitive looks on their faces as they conversed. Many wore embellished teardrop tops while others sported relaxed patterned trousers, not forgetting of course a handful wearing elaborate pirate hats.
Welcoming you to the Keep On Dancing stage was Boogie Wonderland written in fluorescent tube lighting. DJ Chez turned Stage 2 into another disco dimension, while Remi Vanetti and Birgay transformed the evening into a groovy galore as the sun faded and the moon rose.
Stage 1, or as I like to call it the hut stage, took on a different approach touching on minimal Balearic house with track selections reaching sensual frequencies. Timujin and Oceanvs Orientalis particularly stood out, playing tracks like Daphnia's Fragments (Experimental Remix). The stage was entwined with vine leaves, disco balls and fairy lights, flushing hedonism through the entire crowd. Tranquil yet funky, Acid Sundays hit the spot for their opening fiesta.
