The countdown is on for Pikes to reopen the doors to its trippy grounds for 2017. Another season of decadence takes off at 19:00 on Saturday 29 April with the summer season launch party and lots of exciting news.
For starters, the new look of Freddie's will be unveiled. Home to some of the wildest parties the island has ever seen, the party suite has been freshly revamped. The work of interior style leaders Rockett St George, it is bound to be nothing short of spectacular.
Taking care of the tunes for the opening party, house party hero Artwork as well as some island favourite DJs and promoters the likes of Melon Bomb, Rock Nights, Justin Harris, Brothers Grim, Harley Maxwell and friends, David Phillips, Andy Wilson and Flamenco from Paco Fernandez. Bathtub Karaoke and Dressing Up in the Boudoir with Sunny will also be there to make sure all your party-needs are met.
While the full schedule has yet to be announced, we have been promised a treat for all the senses. Astonishing residencies, thrilling new collaborations and many pop-up food events are all in store this upcoming season. Based on their past events, we have every reason to believe them.
In recent years these have included DJ Harvey's Mercury Rising residency, Idris Elba's 7Wallace parties, Elrow's Boiler Room, Rock Nights Ibiza Rocks afterparties, Mike Skinner's Tonga Party, Seth Troxler's 30th Birthday, Disclosure exclusive album launch, Groucho's Summer Party and Radio 1's 20 Years of Ibiza gathering. Special guests have also regularly dropped in for surprise sets, such as Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong, Groove Armada, DJ Sneak, Kölsch, The 2 Bears, Shy FX, Midland, Nick Warren, Soul Clap and many more.
Meanwhile, as a sneak preview of the new menu, Room 39 will serve a special sample of Head Chef Lee Milne's new food concept. A Mediterranean family style service, it uses locally sourced seasonal produce and is a great way to stock up energy for the all-nighter. Restaurant bookings start from 20:00 and bound to fill up so move quickly on this one.
Taking place at what is arguably the most original venue on the island, this opening party is pretty much unmissable.
