The very fact that we´re gathering our news to bring you a roundup of Balearic nuggets should tell you that we´re inching closer and closer to season 2017. You´ve no doubt already been on a tagging rampage to assemble your crews and have your fiesta options locked in. So, without further ado, here´s roundup numero uno with news from the last two weeks. Get tucked in just in case something BIG has slipped through your radar.
1. Solomun returns to Pacha
It´d be difficult to imagine Sundays at Pacha without Solomun at the helm, so it´s just as well our Balkan chief is back for his fifth year in 2017. Solomun +1 will be reclaiming its position from 28 May through to 15 October.
2. Together reveals season line-ups
Bass and house enthusiasts worth their salt will have been keeping an eager eye out for news from the Together camp, but in case it slipped through your radar, some of that all-important line-up has already dropped. Those who´ve signed up to inflict some damage include Chase & Status, Rudimental, MK, Gorgon City, Andy C, Disciples, Duke Dumont and Sigma.
3. ANTS confirms season dates
Content with its solid reputation as one of Ibiza´s best fiestas for underground tunage, this winter was the time for the colony to expand, and with stopovers in Mexico, London, Dubai and Hong Kong, it´s safe to say that its mission has been accomplished. While ANTS might have been bitten by the travel bug, would it be anywhere else other than Ibiza this summer? Not a chance. You´ll find the colony at Ushuaïa every Saturday from Saturday 3 June through to Saturday 30 September.
4. Black Coffee confirmed as first Hï Ibiza resident
All eyes are on Hï Ibiza this year as we build up to its debut season in 2017. We´ve all been speculating on what Ushuaïa Entertainment will be pulling out the bag, and there´s no shying away from how difficult a task it is to follow on from Space´s legacy. However, with Black Coffee being the first name confirmed as a summer resident, it´s looking pretty peachy over at the new Playa d´en Bossa superclub. You´ll find the South African house don in the Saturday slot every week from 3 June to 30 September.
5. Marco Carola dishes out Music On dates
All international DJs have crews of devoted, diehard fans, but few are kotowed to quite like Music On chief, Marco Carola. Amnesia will be his playground for a sixth consecutive year in 2017, and he´s giving us more of his techno tonic than previous years with 21 Music On sessions in the calendar. Amnesia every Friday from 19 May to 7 October – take note.
6. The Zoo Project´s boat party, Noah´s Ark, releases summer dates
We´re not living in fear of a global flood capsising our summer, but we are getting a little biblical with The Zoo Project´s boat party, Noah´s Ark. As the official pre-party you´ll be taken on a trip atop the Med, round the magical islet of Es Vedrà, all while being entertained in true Zoo fashion by bendy-legged zebras and pirouetting penguins (humans dressed as said animals, just so you're not disappointed). And of course, an underground selection of tunes provided by Zoo regulars. The Ark will set sail every Saturday from 17 June to 23 September.

7. IMS Dalt Vila announces summer 2017 line-up
This season IMS Dalt Vila´s is celebrating its milestone 10th anniversary, and as the annual event is a rave in a castle, it´s already right out the ordinary. But we´re getting something even more extraordinary this year with a line-up loaded with some very special b2b sessions. There'll be Maceo Plex b2b Tale of Us, Seth Troxler b2b Miss Kittin, Pete Tong b2b Nicola Moudaber, Dixon b2b Kenlou (Masters at Work), The Martinez Brothers b2b Kenlou, B.Traits b2b Jesse Rose and Manu Gonzalez b2b Lollino. Friday 26 May, folks – do not forget.
8. Martin Garrix brings two summer residencies to the White Isle
We´ll be in for double the Garrix damage this season as the Dutch prodigy confirms that not only will he be back at Ushuaïa with a new self-titled residency – simply Martin Garrix – but also taking his successful Multiply night to Hï Ibiza. Kick your week off with Garrix at Hï Ibiza every Monday from 3 July through to 18 September, and get your EDM fill over at Ushuaïa every Thursday from 6 July to 14 September.
9. Magna Carta and Faction join forces for Eden residency
Thursdays at Eden will be led by a dual residency with Magna Carta and Faction in charge. Quick off the mark to get the line-up in shape, we already know that the names down for a spin include Alex Ground, Aney F, Apollo 84, Dale Howard, Igluu, Pete Dorling and Shaf Huse, among more. Every Thursday from 15 June through to 14 September.
10. Maceo Plex is in for round two at Pacha
If you weren´t sweating through one of Carl Cox´s last final sessions at Space, it´s likely that you were sounding out Maceo Plex´s first artist-led residency in Ibiza, Mosaic. And if your ears take rather kindly to brooding, guttural techno, we´d suggest that you left Pacha feeling quite happy with yourselves. He was some of last year´s biggest news, and he´ll be back in for another scorcher from 30 May through to 3 October.
11. Beautiful People Ibiza sets 2017 sailing dates
Tickets for Beautiful People Ibiza Boat Party have already been added to our calendar, and if gliding across the med with some decent tunes and a gaggle of gorgeous humans sounds like your bag, get them bought. Starting on 14 May the boat party will set sail several times a week with daily departures starting 1 June and running until 30 September. You´ll also have water activities such as the flying banana and jet skis included in the ticket.
12. Cream secures Fatboy Slim as resident for a second year
He´s been an island regular for years, but only last season did we get our hands Fatboy Slim as a summer resident. It was huge news for Cream to have bagged Norman Cook for seven dates at Amnesia, and he´s back in 2017 even bigger, with 11 dates in the calendar. Catch Fatboy Slim at the big opening party on Thursday 8 June and at the closing on Thursday 21 September. In between those two mega sessions, you'll find him at Amnesia on 22 June, 6 and 27 July; 3, 10, 17 and 31 August; and 7 and 14 September.
13. Hï Ibiza unveils mega opening party line-up
And finally, Hï Ibiza was the first club to sneak in there with full details of its opening party line-up. In what´ll be one of this year´s most-anticipated opening parties, the brand new Playa d´en Bossa superclub will be gathering some of Ibiza´s firm favourites, including Black Coffee, Apollonia with an extended set, Luciano, Nic Fanciulli, Joris Voorn, Andrea Oliva, David Squillace, Kölsch, Matthias Tanzmann, Bas Ibellini and Djebali. Sunday 28 May is the date for this sparkler, so you know where you should be.
