The balloons and confetti will be out in force for Space's last birthday on 24 July, and while the line-up is still to be announced, we're giving you warning it's likely to include a pack of guests you won't want to miss.
27 is an age made famous by the talents and artists who were taken from us too soon, including Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse and Jimi Hendrix, and in 2016, Space will be found in the 27 Club hall of fame after leaving us with countless clubbing memories. While we'll be there to dance in adoration of the club that has given us so much, we'll also be there to give our love to the man behind it all, Pepe Roselló. His vision began in 1989, during the 'Second Summer of Love', the year that Ibiza as we know it was being born, and the year that dance music culture had its grip on youths across the planet. Since it first held its doors open to dance pilgrims all those years ago, it's changed and reinvented itself on countless occasions, becoming an earthly treasure.
By now, you'll be well aware that this year is your final chance to say 'I was there', and its 27th anniversary will be one of the biggest dates to do so. As some of the world's greatest DJs have diced with Space's decks, you can expect one mammoth line-up that's loaded with house and techno masters to arrive for a big birthday bash that'll go down in clubbing history.
