Legendary DJ, Nick Warren, returns to Ibiza on 12 June with The Soundgarden - a party that established itself as San Antonio's standout offering in 2015. Returning to Eden this summer, with a progressive sound that embodies his famously distinct ‘90s vibe, Warren will be launching head first into the season alongside Argentinian superstar, Hernan Cattaneo. Kicking off at just before midnight on Sunday, this date will mark the first of 15 appearances for the party, which will run every week until 18 September - a fitting tribute to The Soundgarden main man's 25th year on the White Isle. The party will be delivered in partnership with Format - a collective of underground music enthusiasts delivering the finest in house and techno that's been selling out shows in all over Scotland for the past year.
Warren first graced the DJ booth at Café del Mar back in 1991, and with a residency at Cream in Liverpool in the mid-90s, has gone on to establish himself as one of electronic music's greatest talents. Churning out releases at a near constant rate over the past two and a half decades, his Global Underground series has been a continuing source of musical ecstasy to his many loyal fans worldwide. Cattaneo is a veteran of the progressive house scene - having played for over 30 years, he is considered one of the biggest DJs ever to come out of South America. The former Cream Ibiza and Liverpool resident has wowed fans throughout the years and guarantees to do so every time he plays one of his sets.
Joining Warren and Cattaneo on the night for this coming together of audio and visual mastery is Henry Saiz. The Madrid DJ is renowned for his experimental techno and house, in the process utilising all manner of equipment to create his distinctive sound. English / Scottish DJs Dan Black and Rondevu will also play b2b to kickstart the night's action, and The Terrarium room will be hosted by Haustronaut, Uneek Ibiza and Irregular Sounds, in what promises to be an outstanding night of progressive house from some of the best in the world.
The Soundgarden brand exists in a variety of forms - as a bi-monthly radio show on Frisky Radio, a compilation album (incredibly his 13th release) and most recently a record label - its first release coming from Moscow based trio, Tantsui, with their melodic, groovy track ‘Around The River'. Warren has stated his role as a producer and DJ should always include “helping new and emerging talent and giving them a platform to be noticed in this ever-changing musical world” - something he will undoubtedly continue to do through both The Soundgarden label and over the coming weeks at Eden.
