Atzaró Spring Festival in Ibiza

Step into spring.

It is now time for one of the main markers of the summer season: the Atzaró Fiesta de la Primavera, or Spring Festival, as the agoturismo welcomes in the new in the lead up to summer on 27 March, the first Sunday of spring.

Thousands are expected at the event, which starts at 12 midday and going on till late in the beautiful natural surroundings of Atzaró's gardens. All kinds of people of all ages from families, children, couples and groups of friends and their pets will be there. You can also expect a good number of the artists, musicians and bohemians who are drawn to the island's creative and energetic spirit.

Entrance is completely free and you can reserve spaces within the agroturismo separately in advance. Expect a full day of distractions filled with light, colour and flowers, including kids' activities with everything from face painting to sport to tattoos; art exhibitions and live painting; food workshops and holistic workshops. There will be more than 30 market stalls selling craft jewellery, art and fashion too.

Music will feature strongly throughout the day by the main pool from noon to past midnight and in the Chill Out Area from noon till late. There are over 15 live performances with dancers and circus tricks: look out for Ibossim Flamenco, Circus by Cirkomentarios and Mr Hat Live Band in the line-up. Included in the mix are a long line of island DJs throughout the day including James Regal, David Moreno, Vidal Rodríguez and Anna Tur.

There are lots of food and drink stands to keep you going through the day with a barbecue for meat lovers and one for vegetarians and vegans as well as a classic paella. The all day buffet gets you a great selection of food for €35 per person.

For those that can't drive to Atzaró, the venue is putting on a minibus service with departures throughout the day from the car park of the Palacio de Congresos in Santa Eulalia from noon till 2am to get you there safely.

You have no reason not to go. Bring on the spring at Atzaró!
