Afterlife at Space on Thursdays

Immersive techno and a new feel for Thursdays at Space.

Since Richie Hawtin announced the exit of ENTER. from Ibiza after four seasons, the speculation mill has been in overdrive. What will fill that infamous Thursday slot at Space? Who will eclipse the void left by Hawtin? Well, it's funny you should ask, because some of the biggest news of the season has just dropped and we're now in a position to answer.

Thursdays at Space will now belong to Afterlife - a collection of artists from Life and Death, Innervisions and Dystopian - and based on what we know so far, we're all about to experience sensory overload. Curated by Italian powerhouse duo Tale Of Us, you can expect to lose yourself amid lush rhythms, to get lost in another dimension, and to be taken on a fully immersive trip guided by hypnotic beats. Names already billed to appear included Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Recondite, Rødhåd, Mind Against and Voices From The Lake, so you get the picture - we're going to have divine, dreamy techno on our doorstep this summer.

And that's not all, because the event collective will also be presenting a special concept for live shows, with none other than the mighty Todd Terje, Howling and David August due to whisk us inside their magical, memorable soundscapes. Something tells us this is going to be a debut season to remember.

Afterlife will have its birth in Barcelona on 16th June, but you can sink your teeth into all this tasty goodness from 7th July, when it will land at Space for a total of 13 weeks, until 29th September. Night by night line-ups are still yet to be revealed, but that should be enough to whet your appetites, so if you're of sound mind you'll be bagging yourself some early bird ticket action pronto.

From ENTER. to the Afterlife in Space's final year, it's all really rather poetic.
