Here's a selection of some great things to do during November in Ibiza, from sitting back and relaxing to getting out there for some active fun.
Unusual Suspects at Sankeys
Sad to say goodbye to summer despite the inclement weather of the past few days? Just as we thought that Sankeys had shut its doors for summer, the club has announced a new party, taking place on 11 November with the arrival of Unusual Suspects with a line-up of big hitters that includes Carl Craig, Eats Everything, and Rick Maia in the LAB; and in the Boutique room there's Ibán Mendoza, Alex Del Vecchio and Luigi Moretti. There's an after-work buffet from 9pm, followed by the build up to the party to get you in the mood for the dancefloor. There's more to come from Unusual Suspects in Ibiza too, so watch this space closely.
Lunch at Atzarò
For just €20 you can get a healthy and tasty three course meal including starters, main and dessert. All this in the wonderful setting that is Atzarò and using seasonal products and ingredients from its garden. This 100-year old farmhouse is the ideal place to drink in beautiful views of the Mediterranean with scents of lavender, orange blossom and rosemary wafting across you as you dine. There's a kids menu too for €15 and the restaurant is open all year round in the daytime from 8.30am to 4.30pm, so you wont feel rushed. Instead you can sit there among the whitewashed walls, then lose yourself in the immense gardens.
Take a leap
If you like diving off the top board then you'll love the exhilarating feel of doing a big jump into the sea. Cliff diving from spectacular spots must be up there on lots of people's bucket list, and Ibiza has some great and pretty stunning looking high cliffs. By doing it with a team of professionals, such as Rockid Ibiza you're guaranteed to get through it in one piece, so if you have trepidations never fear. You get to discover your wild side and the wild side of the island, all in one go. With these organised jumps, you get protective footwear, proper guidance and the ability to build up from smaller heights to the big jumps towards the end. This two-hour activity starts at midday Mondays and Fridays around Cala Bassa beach or on Wednesdays around Ibiza - plus family and friends can watch. What's stopping you – go get jumping.
Pikes on Saturdays
Every Saturday at Pikes until Boxing day, the celebrations continue every week at island institution, Pikes with the Ibiza Rocks House Party. You can kick off with dinner if you want to go for the full monty in the venue's Room 39 restaurant, which includes a live performance from the inimitable island legend Paco Fernandez between 8pm and 11pm. You can go straight to the party on the inside which features special guest DJs each week. It's a great way to fill your winter Saturday's and see island ‘royalty', where the tempo and your heartbeat get to go to the max. If you don't make it home, rooms with breakfast are available.
Walking in the wilderness
Now is the perfect time to discover Ibiza's natural beauty and get around on foot. This Friday 13 November, our very own Stivi will be guiding a 10km walk around Cap d'es Falco, climbing five mountains whilst taking in some fantastic Formentera views as well as great vistas of Las Salinas from above. Details are here and this one's mainly for seasoned hikers as there's a fair bit of climbing steep slopes, so if you don't have a head for heights, then it might not be for you. There's all kind of walks throughout the year, so check out the different groups with short and long walks available. Whatever walk you do, you're sure to discover some great natural beauty from the coastline to Ibiza's pretty interior. So, get out and about and discover this beautiful Balearic island.
