Just when you think Ibiza is reaching its holding capacity of awesome DJ talent we get wind of a brand new line-up with faces old and new. Every Saturday starting June 6th the infamous Zoo Project opens its playground to a fresh herd of animals dressed to the nines in animal print and body paint, ready to unleash their wild side in the old abandoned zoo.
The Zoo Project is definitely a unique Ibiza experience as its possibly one of the closest thing to an open-air festival that the island has to offer. With several arenas plotted around the terrain, filled to the brim with bohemian décor, tribal dancers, live bands, pools, zen workshops and great music. To give you just a taster of what’s in store for you, the opening party boasts DJs Cinnaman, Sven Weisemann, Evan Baggs, Florian Meindi (live), Mr. Tophat & Art Alfie, Tuccillo, Funk E, Piticu, Federico Grazzini, WHO, Blackhall & Bookless, Jonathan Tena, JeanCedric, and Milou to lay down those dirty Balearic beats.
Adding to that we have WeLoveSpace resident Paul Woolford, house legend Audio Werner, Dutch pride Samuel Deep, young talent Maribou State, Margaret Dygas, Hunee, a special live performance by Argenis Brito and Dandy Jack as Los Refrescos, tech house master Terry Francis, a back-to-back session with Giles Smith and Honey Dijon, the Zenker Brothers, Erobique (live), Boola, Molly, techno duo Dense & Pika, Mark Farina, Thomas Melchior, Oskar Offerman, the notorious George Fitzgerald, budding Cocoon hero Ilario Alicante, Dana Ruh, Karina, Defex, Phillipe & Cole, Fabrizio Sala, Shanti Celeste and many, many more.
The line-up makes clear the importance the Zoo Project places on keeping their music fresh, experimental and underground, and with a location like the old Benimussa park their carefully selected music choice will no doubt raise the roof and have us howling to the moon.
