The slightly off-centre, dark, underground and passionately music focused label and event series Love The Underground Records has found a home in Ibiza via Destino's slightly off centre, dark, underground and passionately music focused club room, Tox. A match made in heaven, as they say, though Tox tends to project an aesthetic closer to Hades' flaming haunts underfoot than the puffy white clouds of the realms above our heads.
But back to the music - Love The Underground Records may be a fledgling label, but its musical roots run deep, exploring the underground realms of house and techno through collaborating with respected dance labels like Desolat, Drumcode, Sci-tec, Cadenza and Intec.
The Ibiza LTU parties will come to you as 'Mikaela and Friends', with label founder and DJ Mikaela hosting and playing each night in the sixteen-week season between Saturday the 13th of June and Saturday the 26th of September. Those confirmed to be joining Mikaela so far include Ada Kaleh LIVE, Bec, Christian Baez, Butch, Jay Lumen, Jon Rundell, Kike Medina, Lilith, Marco Bailey, Pelle, Popof, Ramon Tapia, Ramon Tapia, Sam Paganini, Shaded LIVE, Stefano Noferini and Wade, plus much more talent, itemised below.
There will be a Love The Underground warm-up party held at Sankeys on the 3rd of June, featuring Yaya, Stacey Pullen, Lilith and Artslaves, but from the 13th the action moves permanently to the 350 capacity Tox, where tickets will go for a very appealing 15€ only. We're looking forward to some seriously quality tunes from DJ talent both new and established, in an intimate venue without pomp, ceremony or distractions. For 15€!
