Freeze Liverpool joins with Cream

A 10th anniversary year worth shouting about with Carola and co involved too.

Anyone can book a DJ and throw them behind a set of decks in a club space, that doesn't take much skill. The true test of a good party is the team behind it, the ideas they have, their execution... but mostly importantly: their reasons for doing it all.

That's not to say that those running massive 5000 capacity events, making a load of money in the process, are in it for the wrong reasons - see Time Warp - but there's no doubting that much respect is due to the folks who run parties for the shear love of it - see Freeze.

Freeze is a party celebrating their 10th year, starting out in humble beginnings with parties for their mates at a venue called the Lemon Lounge, a glorified room for hire above a pub in Liverpool, UK, that they managed to transform into one of the most interesting party spots in the city.

It wasn't many years ago when they decided enough was enough, competition was still, they had their day jobs and Freeze came to an end. My how things have changed! For their 10th year, they will be running a big series of parties across a variety of unique venues around the north-west. From disco parties at Liverpool famous St Lukes Bombed Out Church (a relic of the damage inflicted in WWII), a return to the much loved Lemon Lounge and former mental asylum hospitals.

The latter is of most interest in this case as Freeze at clubbing behemoth Cream join forces to create 'The Asylum'. Located just outside of Liverpool city centre, their first event at the former mental asylum will feature a name familiar to most - Marco Carola. A day-time party you won't want to miss on 4th April with support from Freeze resident Jemmy, Bill Patrick and Leon. Tickets available now.
