The Zoo Christmas market and winter solstice fiesta

Eat, drink, dance, shop and be (very) merry on December 21st down at Benimussa Park!.

Sunday, December 21st sees Benimussa Park (the summer home of the Zoo Project) transform into a winter wonderland for a very special Christmas and winter solstice party.

The event, to be held in the giant, medieval-style banqueting hall, promises a festive explosion of street food, traditional Christmas goodies and a glittering range of market stalls.

Expect a roaring fire, handmade gifts, festive treats and the stunning island fashion of Luana Bondi's Once Upon a Time market, usually seen during the summer at Boutique Hostal Salinas. There's even a dedicated kids zone so mums can get on with the serious business of browsing for that perfect new years outfit!

Beginning at noon with a free yoga session, the market itself opens at 1pm, with Alex Wolfenden (Openlab) and Negghead (Wax da Jam) providing an eclectic musical accompaniment on the decks. Then from 9pm, the park's underground basement club ‘Santa's secret grotto' opens its doors, where Luca Serra, Dam Paul, Frank Storm and Global Radio's José Maria Ramon will move you through what looks set to be a fab night out.

With yummy mulled wine all day long, chocolate and churros (mmm!), burgers, soups and a great choice of delicious food from around the world, the organisers, Playground Ibiza promise you that

“your tastebuds will be tingling and your feet will start bopping as the winter solstice brings us all together in a magical winter wonderland.”
