As we’re at the peak of the Ibiza season, you’ve probably noticed by now that there are loads more events and parties across the island and the line-ups are just getting better and better. The overwhelming quantity of parties combined with the diversity of the line-ups and production of each club makes it difficult to decide where to spend your nights. Never fear though, Ibiza Spotlight returns to give you our view on the best events to head to over the coming week, so here it goes…
Ibiza Rocks House at Pacha
Monday 11th August
Ibiza Rocks House have already brought some pretty cool DJs into Pacha to headline their parties since the beginning of the season, with the likes of Basement Jaxx, Kevin Saunderson, 2manyDJs and Giorgio Moroder to name a few. Already over half-way through their season, Ibiza Rocks House is still bringing out the big names and shows no sign of holding back. This week sees Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp headline Pacha with Felix Da Housecat, Riva Starr and Moda Black’s up-and-coming duo Jaymo and Andy George providing a pretty diverse supporting line-up.

Madness at Ibiza Rocks Hotel
Wednesday 13th August
This Wednesday is going to be a huge one in the Ibiza Rocks season calendar, as legendary British ska band Madness take to the stage for a pretty alternative night of two stepping reggae and ska classics. Suggs and co are set to bring in a pretty huge crowd to the arena so be sure to get your dancing shoes and Baggy Trousers (see what I did there?) on and get down to this one early. With more guests to be announced, this one can only get better!

Mass Bass at Privilege
Thursday 14th August
Take a trip to Privilege on Thursday to catch some of the biggest DJs and producers in the bass music scene wow you in Privilege’s ridiculously huge main room. Mass Bass is one of only three weekly parties where you get to see the main room in all its glory and who better to provide the soundtrack to that jaw-dropping moment than Circus Records heavyweight Flux Pavilion, Pretty Lights (who made his Ibiza debut at IMS this year) and the incomparable Four Tet? This week is also a special one for Privilege as it marks the 21st anniversary of the venue opening its doors as a club.

Snoop Dogg (part of This is Hard Rock Hotel series) at Ushuaïa
Friday 15th August
This is probably the one that I am most excited about this week. Snoop Dogg returns to the island for his first Balearic show since 2011 and is set to perform hits from both his Snoop Dogg and Snoop Lion aliases, making the night a perfect mix of hip-hop, rap and reggae. Snoop will be dropping it like it’s hot on a pretty big bill of DJs including none other than DJ Sneak, Radio 1’s Essential Mix pioneer Pete Tong and Brian Cross. Do yourself a favour and get your tickets in advance for this party. It’s already been moved from the Hard Rock Hotel to Ushuaïa because a huge crowd is expected, so make sure you’re a part of the crowd and not stuck outside on Friday!
