Whilst thousands of people are now in Brazil, watching the World Cup matches live, Havaianas, that most iconic of Brazilian companies, is set to arrive here in beautiful Ibiza!
Why? To celebrate the winners, whoever they may be! And when you allow for the fact that the hopes of the host of the tournament of winning have now sadly gone, we especially tip our hats to Havaianas' gracious, congratulatory spirit. We think that celebrating the winners of a tournament you dearly wished to win shows honourable sportsmanship and reflects the happy, positive and joyful Brazilian spirit.
So we're delighted to welcome Havaianas to our very own Balearic jewel of an island where they're planning to host a true Brazilian extravaganza on that world-famous Ibiza beach, Playa d’en Bossa. Monday July 14th between 12-8pm is the date and time for the diary and what's more, they're treating the island to a massive flip-flop giveaway and YOU are invited!
Thousands of pairs of Havaianas will be arranged on the beach in Playa d’en Bossa to form the Brazilian flag, in honour of the team that finally takes home football’s biggest prize.
What’s more, the beach at San Antonio will be installed with big flip-flop shaped showers, transforming the Mediterranean into a colourful, vibrant Brazilian-style zone for the day.
To qualify for your pair of fab, free Havaianas flip-flops, tweet or post on facebook #HavaianasIbiza (check out their Facebook page for more details). Then simply turn up on the day and show the shared post (printed or on your smartphone). And voila, one pair of shiny new flip-flops for you!
Havaianas have been producing the planet's coolest and comfiest flip-flops since the vibrant, heady days of the free-spirited 1960’s. With Havaianas' Bohemian roots similar to those of Ibiza, we’re sure that this will be a meeting made in party heaven!
So if you’re in Ibiza on the 14th next week, get yourselves down to Playa d’en Bossa beach between 12-8pm, dear reader. Celebrate the World Cup winners, get some fabulous new flip-flops for free and party with the Brazilians (who know a thing or two about that, it’s rumoured)!
