Put the date in your diary folks. Friday 13th June. This is when the first Hard Rock Hotel in Europe will open the doors for live music at the hotel, just along the Playa d'en Bossa beach from Ushuaïa. The hotel itself will celebrate its opening on 18th May. Naturally, the hotel will have a strong focus on live music within its newly designed and purpose built stage and two artists have now finally been announced for the coming season.
First up we have the one and only Nile Rogers and his band - Chic. Nile and his signature Fender guitar, nicknamed the 'Hitmaker' on account of the huge number of records he and his guitar have worked on over the years. It is unlikely you have missed his work, spanning four decades, with tracks such as 'Le Freak', 'I Want Your Love' and 'We Are Family' with the trio of Sister Sledge. More recently you'll no doubt have heard 'Get Lucky' with Daft Punk, or even his tracks with Tensnake and Avicii. Having appeared at the International Music Summit on Ibiza and Ibiza Rocks over the last few years, the island and Nile now have a solid relationship and no season would be complete without him now.
Nile and the band will play the Hard Rock Hotel stage on Friday the 13th June for the opening party. Things start from 6pm running til' midnight we expect.

Robin Thicke, the dude behind tracks such as 'Blurred Lines' and from controversial moments in pop culture such as Miley Cyrus putting her bootay all up in his business on stage at the MTV Music Awards, is the second artists to be confirmed to play directly at the Hard Rock Hotel as a part of the 'This Is Hard Rock Hotel' series. He plays in peak season, on Friday 4th July, making this a big one for the American's, no doubt.
