IMS 2014 Moves To Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza

All conference events and satellite parties - excluding Dalt Vila parties - move to Playa d'en Bossa.

The International Music Summit kicks off on Wednesday 21st May and runs until Friday 23rd May on the island of Ibiza where leading industry experts, commentators and artists will come together to discuss the current and future states of the world we all love - dance music.

Running into its seventh year, a bold decision has been made to up and move from their previous home at Ibiza Town's Gran Hotel, neighbours to Pacha and Booom, along the coast to Playa d'en Bossa and the brand new Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, next to Ushuaïa - set to open for this coming season.

All of the conference events, interviews, keynote speeches, presentations and so on will move to the Hard Rock Hotel, proving a welcome change in scenery for those who are seasoned IMS Conference goers. All the satellite events that were previously held in venues around the Ibiza Gran Hotel such as Bubbles, Grial and Pacha will now also move to Playa d'en Bossa. Details on exactly which venues will be used will be announced soon. For the main conference events to all be so closely located it makes for a much more convenient experience.

The IMS Grand Finale parties at Dalt Vila will of course continue at the iconic World Heritage listed site on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd May - again, further details on these parties, along with line ups and ticket information is coming soon.

The Hard Rock Hotel is a new venture between hotel operators the Palladium Hotel Group and the team behind Ushuaïa as they seek to transform Playa d'en Bossa into a world class holiday destination akin to the likes of Miami Beach, Florida. Reduced rates for IMS delegates will be available at Ushuaïa, the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa and of course the Hard Rock Hotel itself.

“IMS was created so people can debate and be inspired about the future of a technology-driven genre of music, so inevitably our host venue needs to move with the times also."

“This is a major opportunity for us to create a new home as we expand with the genre and with the ambitions of our delegates. We are impressed with the work of the Hard Rock group and feel we are in good hands. The irony of the history and name of the hotel is not lost on us – this is a true reflection of how our music is seeping into mainstream culture worldwide and continuing to break down barriers of entry.” - IMS partner Ben Turner
