Intec confirm they will be taking their new Pure Intec club series to Ibiza this summer, for one night only.
On July 2nd, a week before Carl Cox kicks off his Revolution season, the legendary Space nightclub will open its inside Terrace to some of Intec Digital’s finest DJs and producers. Beginning at 8pm, representing Intec will be label boss Jon Rundell, new to the label Pirupa, and two of Intec’s longest standing artists and techno stalwarts, Marco Bailey & Ben Sims – each bringing their own varied and discerning style to the Ibizan shore.
Following on from successful sell out parties in London's XOYO basement and FABRIK in Madrid, Pure Intec Ibiza is the latest in a series of global parties commissioned by the label to mark the re-launch of the much-lauded Pure Intec compilation series, originally released by Cox some 9 years ago. Pure Intec 2 is a double-disc techno leviathan that acts to modernise and expand on the ethos of Cox's original material - to bring a well-produced and accessible techno sound to every shadowy corner of the globe, and to playfully educate along the way.
The message is shared by fellow Intec head and party headliner Jon Rundell, who mixes the second part of the new Intec compilation,
Following on from the previous parties we’ve hosted at Carl's residency at Space, we're happy to be presenting our own one off party there for the first time. We are proud of where the label is heading right now and to be able to be at the club that has inspired us so often with more of our artists is amazing. - Jon Rundell
The Pure Intec 2 compilation is available in the futuristic form of a USB pen drive which, when activated, automatically downloads exclusive content and delicious label niceties. Does this pioneering attitude reflect the forward thinking and intimate spirit we are likely to see soaking through the Terrace?
Part 1 mixed by Carl himself, brings a whole load of unheard remixes from his acclaimed album, ‘All Roads Lead to The Dancefloor’ by some of Intec’s finest, plus others from outside the label, including Jim Rivers, Ben Sims, Yousef, Foamo, Tomy Declerque, Reso, Nicole Moudaber, Sharam, Layo & Bushwacka! and Loco Dice.
Part 2 comes courtesy of Jon Rundell – his first compilation - and features forthcoming tracks from Intec by artists from the label, brought together exclusively for the first time. Artists include The Junkies, Victor Vera, Nicole Moudaber, Daryl Stay, Dosem, Pirupa, Alex Sibley, Marco Bailey, Carlo Lio, Tomy DeClerque, Mark Reeve, Ben Sims and Jon himself, alongside Digital Primate.
The scope of the compilation and the support its artists have already received marks the continuation of an enthusiastic assault on the current Techno scene, with both the label and its artists reaching to produce something instantly memorable.
Jon and I thought it was time. We’ve been working hard the last few years to get Intec back to the forefront of Techno. We have a great roster, with very talented DJs that deserve recognition. This is our way of celebrating the label’s success, showcasing some of our artists, and of course putting out some amazing tracks. - Carl Cox
