Perched on a hill just above Sol d’en Serra beach, flanked by cliffs and nestled in a cove of the utmost beauty 1km from Cala Llonga, sits Amante. In terms of location, this one is hard to beat, and we weren’t the only ones glad to see it open again for the summer last night.
The line of cars snaked back and back down the hill last night, with people flocking from all corners of the island to clink beverages in this idyllic setting. As the light faded the outdoor barbeque was sizzling away, drinks were flowing and a very animated crowd was already dancing hard, with everyone clearly committed to squeezing in some solid party hours before close. Throughout the evening Steve Harris, Antz, Iban Mendoza, Jon Sa Trinxa, Ashley Beedle and Just Be all crossed the decks, pumping house across our heads and out into the ocean whilst the Amante seashell logo dwarfed participants, projected and magnified onto the surrounding cliff face.
With the stars out, disco lights sweeping, bodies dancing and ocean lapping only metres below our feet, it really felt like the best place you could be at that moment in time. I could go on, but I think it’s best to let the photographs do the talking for this one.
