Always in April and May, before the big clubs open in Ibiza, it's the beach clubs and fancy bars turn to open up and celebrate their start into another season. So, after Blue Marlin and KM5, El Ayoun and Savannah, also Amante Beach Club got back into business.
Located in Sol d'en Serra, a secluded beach a bit hidden, but close to Cala Llonga, lies Amante Beach Club. A place, where (when it still was known by the name Sol d'en Serra) once afterparties took place and later Azuli Beach Parties happened, which were very successful and memorable, so that Azuli's label boss David Piccioni, who had instantly fallen in love with the restaurant and beach club, bought it and renamed it Amante Beach Club.
Ever since then, Amante is the perfect hangout for both a beautiful day on the beach with their comfy sunbeds or a romantic dinner overlooking the sea. And yes, every now and then, there are still some parties happening...
Already on our way to Sol d'en Serra, we noticed we wouldn't be the only guests at Amante's opening party 2012. When we arrived there with the fading daylight, the place was probably the busiest i've ever seen it. DJ Ease (Nightmares on Wax) was just playing and we fought our way to the bar to ease into the party with a nice drink.
Island regulars as well as fresh people very much enjoyed the early evening vibe, but the best was yet to come. DJ Antz took the power of the music up a notch or two with Pirupa's Party Non Stop and looking out on the sea, now that night had come, it then dawned on us - we were going to see the full moon rising over the sea! Everybody was staring out at the sea, bound by the beauty of the moon coming out of the water and all this accompanied by a lot of classics such as Âme's Rej, Booka Shade/M.A.N.D.Y.'s Body Language and Jaydee's Plastic Dreams. Just one of those magic Ibiza moments. The thing is, you can never plan them. They will happen of course, again and again, but you just have to wait for them to happen. Anyway, Amante's opening was definitely a cracker and we'll be back for more soon. Maybe again for the full moon?
