Last Sunday saw DJ Hell, Joris Voorn, Jeff Mills, Groove Armada and Heidi take over Space's 6 rooms.
Although I was primarily at the event to see Groove Armada's set in the Terraza I did however take the chance to explore sets from Jeff Mills and DJ Hell in the mainroom, smashing out hard techno bangers acommpanied by the odd electronic vocals, all under the gleaming smiles of the We Love inflatable faces hanging from the ceiling.
Moving to the Terraza in time for Groove Armada's appearence I caught the end of Joris Voorn who was playing classics like Armand Van Helden´s The Funk Phenomena to get the uplifting atmosphere started before the electronic duo took to the decks.
Finally the moment was here Groove Armada had stepped up to the decks. Watching them from raised area by the side of the booth, my view of both the DJ's and the groove hungry clubbers was impeccable.
Beginning their set with Azari & III's Hungry for the Power they immedietaly got the crowd pumping with some deep tracks, which I wasn't expecting, like unexpected track Forward Motion by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss.
Of course a Groove Armada set wouldn't be complete with out dropping Superstylin', and they cleverly teased the crowd with some vocals a good 20 or so minutes before their much loved tune set the dancefloor alight.
The Terraza also saw an impressive light show on top of Groove Armada's uplifting set, which heightened the buzz in one of the world's msot famous clubbing rooms. Choosing the Terraza as the venue for Groove Armada's set was a wise idea, as, although the crowd they attracted was huge, the intimacy and lay out of the room made their set even more special.
