It's really true what they say that the smallest things can make the biggest difference. Take the historic centre of Ibiza town for example, narrow streets, wrought iron balconies, elegant facades, washing blowing in the breeze and wires everywhere! It's a veritable spaghetti junction of cables of all dimensions carrying vital supplies of TV juice and phone conversations.
Well thanks to Ibiza council which has been funded by the World Heritage Consortium the cables are on their way out. The facades of buildings will no longer carry the enormous clumps of wires by the end of the 13 week project costing almost €230,000 to remove them.
