Uberlube started in the little town of Chester back in 2006, originally a Sunday trade night, aimed as an exclusive party for retail staff around the city. The venue was an intimate 150 capacity Loft above the bustling ‘The Living Room’ bar. At the time the sound was underground and Jacking House, the resident DJs were heavily influenced by the likes of Layo & Bushwacka! Audion, James Zabeilla, Steve Bug & Nic Fancuilli. After a couple of months the hype around the night had grown so much, the doors where opened to everyone, the atmosphere soon built up to be something quite special!

After reaching a capacity crowd almost every week for 18 months, Uberlube required a new home, as it simply needed room to evolve. When moved to Politic early 2008 things really started to get going, Inviting Guest DJs from likes of Cream, Circus and Back2Basics aswell as local up and coming talent. The music policy changed towards more minimal, Deep House & Techno. With the new venue being able to hold up to 300 people over 2 floors, Sunday nights in Chester had developed a reputation for its cool crowds and underground sound. Lockouts at Uberlube became an ongoing trend.
The brand got its reward for its success in Chester and soon appeared at Mission Leeds for Superfreq, Cosmic Ballroom Newcastle and The Masque Liverpool. In the summer of 2008 the residents from Uberlube spent a month in Ibiza, and where lucky enough to land gigs at Privilege for Tiesto’s ‘In Search for Sunrise’ and warmed up for Deadmau5 on the Cream Amnesia Terrace. In 2009 the guys from Uberlube decided that to move forward they would have to start hosting party’s on Friday nights.

Still using the same principles as before the atmosphere carried on to impress. The year got off to an amazing start, and in late January Uberlube was invited to host the bar at Sankeys Manchester for the infamous ‘Circoloco’ being billed alongside Tania Vulcano & Rene. The night continued to grow from strength to strength with very sucessful parties with Mistress de Funk, Kate Lawler and Tim Weeks it was time for Uberlube to move again, Now trading at Chester’s newest music venue D’Meltin’Pot the night has booked some of the biggest underground acts in the industry at the moment over the coming months, Reset Robot (sci+tec) Kos (familia records) and Tom Budden (Alive records) With upcoming gigs at Ministry of Sound London, 2010 is shaping up to be another exciting year.
