Recession in Ibiza there may be, but it's not stopping us taking our annual summer holidays away from the island. The same numbers of people are getting away, but they're taking shorter holidays and nearer to home.
Travel agents and flight companies in Ibiza report that favourite destinations for Ibicencos this summer have been in 'Green Spain' in the northern provinces of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and the Basque Country where the air is fresh and clean and the temperatures bearable.

When we go abroad we head for our close European neighbours – London's a major destination because of the many budget airlines and bargain basement prices given the weakness of Sterling – followed by Rome, Milan and Amsterdam.
So, there we are, and in the words of our forum members, 'will anyone from Ibiza be in London when I'm there in October for a meet-up?'
