One of the most important events on the 
nautical calendar comes to Ibiza every Easter. The Ruta de Sal – which commemorates the breaking of the siege of Barcelona by a boat containing salt from Ibiza – starts next week.
There are two start points for the race; Barcelona, at 09.00 on 9th April and Denia 16.00 on the same day. The distance from both ports to the finish in San Antonio is 150 and 120 nautical miles respectively.
The race features 8 categories of sailing vessel and already over 270 boats are entered into the regatta which should ensure a wonderful spectacle for people watching from the shore on 12th April when the boats are due to arrive in San Antonio.
