After the Space opening extravaganza, the first Cream party of the season is one of the most anticipated nights of the year.
Having put on some of the best parties here for over 10 years, and recently winning the best UK club of the last 25 years, Cream Ibiza has become one of the must-do parties of Ibiza.
Some of the biggest names in dance have all taken part in the Cream Ibiza experience and this season sees that continue, with exclusive resident, Paul van Dyk, back this summer and joined by the likes of Sasha, Eddie Halliwell and Ferry Corsten in the main room.
The newly renovated and updated terrace of Amnesia is where the sexy house music is to be found, featuring regular Cream favourites Annie Mac, Touche and Sebastian Ingrosso plus guest spots from Crookers, Mylo and Deadmau5 among others.
But apart from the quality of music, what makes Cream Ibiza really special is the out-of-this world party atmosphere that isn´t matched anywhere else. It´s a winning combination of up-for-it clubbers and the famous Amnesia magic that really make Cream unmissable.
We were lucky to get a few words with Paul van Dyk during his current tour of the U.S.A. to get his thoughts on the summer ahead ...
You are back once more for another exclusive residency for Cream Ibiza at Amnesia, so you must still feel the love for Ibiza. How does it feel to be returning for another summer ?
I'm very excited. Ibiza, Cream and Amnesia definitely are playing a very important role in global clubbing because only at the Cream parties at Amnesia/Ibiza you've got that special mix of a very special crowd from all over the world partying together. And as always this year's line up is fantastic again: Sasha, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell, Sander van Doorn, Gareth Wyn, Above & Beyond, and many more. I'm looking very much forward to the season !
Cream Ibiza is one of the biggest parties here and for many people it is the highlight of their clubbing holiday. What should they expect from Paul van Dyk this year ?
Full on me ! I will play a lot of new music and as I mixed this year's Cream Compilation I certainly will play stuff from it.
You are playing alongside another electronic music pioneer, Sasha, for the Cream opening party on Thursday 12 June. It is always a huge affair - do you get particularly excited or nervous about the first night of Cream Ibiza ?
Sasha and I are very good friends for a very long time. We always have much fun together and I'm sure that the exciting atmosphere of this very special event will reflect this.
