Every year the council of San Antonio, Ibiza's second largest town, selects the best kept façade in the borough and awards a prize. The idea is to encourage the good citizens of San An to care for
the image of the town by the use of a monetary carrot.
Over the past few years the award has been won by private houses, hotels, restaurants and even a butchers shop! This year another hotel has scooped the prize.

The Orosol, which is located near the new bus station and football ground, was presented with a plaque, specially hand made by Carlos Icardi the ceramic artist with a workshop in San Rafael, and a prize of €600.

Try taking a stroll around the narrow streets of old San Antonio and you'll be amazed at some of the traditional old houses and buildings that you come across.
