The precocious Space were the first to announce the date of their opening party back in October. But like racing cyclists chasing a breakaway leader others have followed in hot pursuit.
Eden in San Antonio will further their close association with Judge Jules when he headlines their June 2 opening party, and squeezing its ample bulk between them is Privilege, the 10,000 capacity monster venue in San Rafael.
We quizzed Privilege MD Manuel Lopez about this decision.
Lopez: "We have choosen this date to create the biggest opening weekend the island ever has seen. June 2 Eden will open, followed by us on June 3, then Space on June 4 and finally DC10 on June 5. Also, for the moment the booking situation in the hotels is looking much better than the last two years and we also think that shorten the season to 3 months or less is not good for all of us."
Spotlight: What makes you think there will be enough people on the island?
Lopez: First, the opening of Privilege always attracts the people of our beautiful island. We are on a Saturday evening and we again will offer many new shows and much more. We are pretty sure that the opening early June will be as good and crazy as ever.

Tickets for Privilege opening will be around 20 euros but keep an eye for free passes as they've a lot of space to fill.
We asked Manuel what will be happening during the season and he confirmed John Acquaviva's new Tuesday party called Acquaholic, it looks like Manumission's sporadically successful 2005 experiment Ibiza Rocks WILL NOT make a return to Friday nights and will be replaced with a "well known" gay night from Barcelona.
Wednesday will still belong to Mauro Picotto's Meganite but he's split with the nicest guy in techno, German Chris Liebing (right), who is bringing his Spinclub brand to Sundays at the same location.
Liebing admits it was a decision Picotto was not "super happy" about.
"He would have loved me to keep going," said Chris on the phone to us earlier this week.
Spotlight: Why did you leave?
Liebing: Already last year I talked to Mauro that I liked to be part of his Meganite for two years but that was enough for me. I was thankful for introducing me to this world, but I told him that I need to do my own thing. I loved playing the Privilege closing party last season so the Club Lounge [the rebuilt restaurant] is where I wanted to do the party, with the whole window on the side looing onto Ibiza Town, it's a super pure Ibiza feeling for me. We were talking about it the whole winter.
In what way will Spinclub differ from Meganite?
The first thing it's already smaller, we don't need to fill up the place with two or three thousand people. I can create the night with lesser known djs. Also I have lots of friends I can invite these djs without annoncing them.
Why did you choose Nick AC (Robots NYC, USA), Benny Rodrigues (Rotterdam, Holland), Angel Costa (Mallorca, playing some gigs in Sain last eyear) and Speedy J to play?
I don't care if the names are big or not big, it's the vibe. I've always played a bimonthly residency in New York with Nick AC, who is going more into the minimal direction with a harder edge. Sort of the same thing with Angel. He has a different style to most of the Spanish djs . He knows how to play lots of different music and how to interact with the crowd.
Regarding Benny Rodrigues, he is a young DJ from Holland and probably the nicest dj on the planet, even nicer than me. He isalready very successful in his home country there and I think its time he spreads his music more around the globe. He fits very well into the resident crew.
Spotlight: How much will the tickets be?
I think it's going to be around 20 euros.
What time will it close?
We gonna start at 12 and officially we have to close at 7am. But it depends on how noisy we are. We are only in the side rooms.
Stalwart Novamute artist Speedy J will play Spinclub on July 23 & August 20
