The news from the London 'Steps' travel fair is that the big package tour operators have 'warned' Spanish destinations that their prices are too high and that many British holiday makers will be visiting cheaper destinations like Turkey and Croatia.
At first sight this could be seen as disastrous news for Spain and Ibiza - until we take into account the fact that more Brits than ever before are travelling here.
Spain has overtaken France as the preferred destination for British holidaymakers, and vast numbers of them are travelling independently with budget airlines and reserving their accommodation on websites like ours.
In Ibiza there'll be 11% more flights arriving this season than last bringing many travellers who'll be staying in villas, country hotels or accommodation at the higher end of the scale and who'll be spending time and money in our wonderful restaurants, top clubs and designer shops. Try doing that in Turkey!
