Remember the Nixe? The ship that got lost on its way from the shipyard in the Far East to Ibiza?
Well it made its inaugural voyage with fare paying passengers this week, carrying an astonishing 3000 people on its first day in service. The fast catamaran is now linking Denia, Ibiza and Formentera three times daily, with the journey from Ibiza to Formentera taking only 30 minutes.
The Captain reported that the ship was chock-a-block with people all day while the Mayor of Formentera is thrilled that, for the first time ever, there is a direct link to the mainland.
