The long awaited video cameras have finally been installed in San Antonio's holiday hotspots. The seven cameras have cost €31,000 and will be manned by the local police once they have had special training in their use.
Prevalent in most British towns and cities, the cameras make it so much easier for the police to monitor areas in which large crowds gather so that if any trouble appears to be starting, it can be nipped in the bud.
Initially, the areas which will be video-invigilated are the Paseo Maritimo, the West End and the Sunset Strip where police will be able to root out any heretics seen not clapping as the sun goes down.
