San Antonio council will be splashing out €400.000 to improve the facilities at the end of the town's promenade near the Punta des Moli windmill.
This area, which is the annual stage for the Radio 1 shows amongst other events, will benefit from the building of changing rooms where performers will be able to don their costumes. Meanwhile a new botanical garden will be planted and improvements made to the promenade where it ends at Es Puet beach.
In Ibiza the walls of the old town have been receiving a good old spring clean and nearly 300 linear metres of grass was removed from the cracks between the giant stones of the walls. Not only will this make our ancient fortress more aesthetically pleasing but it will also prevent erosion and the possible loosening of masonry, making it safer for visitors.
