Just to demonstrate what a massive logistical headache the project to widen and straighten the San Jose - Ibiza road is, the supply problems getting enough tarmac to cover the road will be solved by building a special tarmac plant just by the roadside.
The authorities have been quick to point out that the new plant, positioned at the less well known KM4 marker, is temporary and uniquely for the road works which will last for a further period of '4 to 6' months. However there is no firm date fixed for the finish of the improvements.
