At last it has been announced that some of the run down areas around the centre of Ibiza old town are to be renovated.
An accord has been signed by Ibiza Town Council and the Public works department of the Balearic Government which will make funds available to repair and beautify 121 houses in the Marina, Sa Penya, and Dalt Vila areas.
In total, more than €2.6 million will be spent over the next 3 years repairing both the facades and interiors of some of the crumbling houses and making the districts more in keeping with the image of World Heritage Centre.
