There's an old saying that Ibiza is the place where you find what you're not looking for.
That was certainly the case this week for 68 year old Toni Guasch from Santa Eulalia! Toni had gone out looking for asparagus and had spotted a nice bunch growing under a carob tree quite close to his house. Imagine his surprise when lurking under the very same tree was a giant mushroom weighing three quarters of a kilo!
Once he had got over the shock, he realised it was a particularly tasty variety of fungus, an immediately took it home. There, after the obligatory photographs for the family album and local newspapers, his wife served it with a meat and potato fry up!
