It's odd how the different nationalities that visit Ibiza all have very different habits when it comes to booking their holidays. A recent report has highlighted the fact that Britons are able to, and often do, book their holidays up to 15 months in advance. The same report describes this as 'science fiction' for the Spanish and Italians who only decide on their vacation destination about a fortnight beforehand! They are also more likely to make the journey here with their own car, as would be expected when the cost of a return trip by ferry is compared to airfares from the peninsula. Happily, it is this 'last minute' booking which often saves the season for our hoteliers when reservations from Northern Europe are down in number.
