A cheeky Rumanian car thief got more than he bargained for this week when he made off at speed in a stolen Ford Orion. Our East European friend had obviously learned his driving skills in a trusty Trabant, top speed 4 miles per hour, and found himself out of his depth in one of Henry Ford's finest, for less than 500 metres up the road he smashed it into an electricity pylon. The police, who had been alerted by the owner of the Ford, found the thief with cuts and bruises and immediately transferred him to the county jail!
