Nobody was more surprised than a 60-year-old local man when he was rudely wakened from his slumbers on Tuesday. The man, identified only by his initials, D. L. S. R. had settled down for a nap in his car, which he had thoughtfully parked first, and was well away by the time M. D. M. suddenly arrived to wake him. Now, M.D.M. is a 24 year old British tourist who had thoughtlessly had a bit too much to drink before taking the wheel of his hire car which he subsequently crashed into the stationary sleep-mobile. Luckily, D. L. S. R. was only lightly injured, whilst M. D. M. was detained at His Majesty's Pleasure. Fortunately, this is a humorous incident; there are others, which lead to serious injury or loss of life. Please take care on our roads.
